Hayley Amoss, Public Relations Associate

Hayley Amoss brings fresh ideas and a results-driven mindset to Estes Public Relations. A 2015 graduate of Louisiana State University, she majored in mass communications with a focus in public relations. She interned at Brown-Forman and worked as the communications specialist for the Louisiana Business and Technology Center while still in college. Following graduation, she worked at FSC Interactive in New Orleans, first as a social media intern. Six months later she accepted a role as community manager for FSC, serving as the brand voice for multiple social media accounts. She went on to become an assistant account executive before joining the EPR team in the fall of 2017.

Hayley’s social media experience has helped EPR bolster in-house digital services — a rapidly growing need in the market. Focused mainly on the culinary and beverage industries, EPR sees an opportunity for clients to grow their businesses through targeted social media. Hayley is a key team member is shaping strategy for clients and advising them on both organic and paid content.

Utilizing social media influencers are another aspect of EPR that Hayley has shaped in the past year. She created a plan for KMAC Couture focused on local influencers; she also recently organized events for two restaurants in Charleston to host influencers.

Hayley also excels in traditional public relations, securing high-quality media placements for clients. She has intuitive pitching skills and a great knack for making personal connections with writers, editors and producers. Her writing and editing skills show a commitment to quality without sacrificing the personality that sells a story. She authored a piece that ran as a multiple-page spread in the Voice-Tribune about Butchertown Grocery. For the Brown Hotel, she secured a feature on Food & Wine’s website naming the hotel’s English Grill as the most romantic restaurant in Kentucky, as well as earned a mention in the New York Times regarding her Instagram success for the hotel. Additional press highlights include client mentions in the Washington Post, Thrillist, Eater National, Garden & Gun, Delta Sky Magazine and more.

Since joining Estes Public Relations, she has found creative approaches to promote clients. Her work with KMAC Couture led to an early sell-out of the event and prominent placement in every local print and television outlet, and substantial growth across multiple social media platforms. She also spearheaded publicity for Kentucky Oaks contender Chocolate Martini, securing placement for the filly, owners and trainer in several outlets. In 2018, Hayley was recognized by the Bluegrass Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America as their Rising Star Award recipient.
