Setton Farms


Setton Farms Pistachios, the second largest pistachio grower-processor in the United States, is a family-owned and operated brand located in the heart of Central Valley, California, since 1986. They offer an established line of premium in-shell and kernel pistachio products that are non-GMO project verified, certified gluten-free, organic and kosher, while a select variety features the AHA heart-check mark. The brand grows, harvests, processes and manufactures pistachios using renewable energy, eco-friendly practices, and proprietary techniques.
Estes Public Relations was retained in 2023 to strengthen Setton Farms’ position as a top brand in the snack & nut industry through local, regional and national public relations efforts. After a year of working alongside Setton, EPR executed a national media campaign centered around three main goals: (1) elevating Setton Farms as a go-to baking ingredient and top-of-mind nutritious snack, (2) amplifying Setton Farms’ community-building initiatives and facility expansion efforts, and (3) strengthening brand visibility through national awards recognition and event programs.
EPR wrote tailored pitches around seasonal trends and holiday baking and facilitated samples to key journalists to reach new audiences. EPR also distributed press releases about Setton’s philanthropic efforts, targeting local, regional, and national media. Additionally, EPR researched and submitted Setton Farms and its products for nationally recognized industry awards and events.
EPR achieved all three of the campaign’s goals, continuing to strengthen the brand and its products. While promoting, EPR secured more than 100 media mentions, including prominent national placements in EatingWell, The Pioneer Woman Magazine, SELF Magazine, Food & Beverage Magazine, Bake Magazine, Men’s Health and others. EPR registered Setton Farms for the 2024 Holiday Gift Guide Media Event, further leveraging the brand through interviews with top-tier media, sample requests and media follow-ups. Additionally, EPR submitted Setton Farms Buffalo Wing Seasoned Pistachio Kernels for The 2025 SELF Pantry Awards, where the product was named the “Best Seasoned Nut,” and featured on SELF’s website and social media.
Pratt Standard


Founded in 2014 by Tory Pratt, Pratt Standard Cocktail Co. is built around authenticity and flavor. Each syrup is carefully developed and hand-crafted, from peeling ginger to personally labeling each bottle. The hope of these pre-Prohibition-style syrups is to bring people together — to create connections over cocktails.
As a female-owned company whose goal is also to create connections (and who also loves cocktails), Estes Public Relations was thrilled to work alongside Pratt Standard in 2020 to help build brand awareness, promote products, and encourage folks to “make cocktailing easy” by taking a virtual online cocktail class with Tory.
EPR utilized both national and regional earned media placements to yield significant media attention amid the pandemic. Nationally, EPR was focused on placements for current, seasonal and new products, and promoting Tory and her foundational and themed online cocktail classes — especially during a time when virtual relationships were so important. EPR positioned Tory as an expert resource for cocktail trends and industry expertise in both the food & beverage space, as her syrups can be used interchangeably as ingredients and substitutions in cooking. Regionally, EPR targeted media outlets in Pratt Standard markets to provide information about upcoming events as well as cocktails featuring Pratt Standard products offered at local bars and restaurants, often for seasonal or holiday roundup stories.
